Opening for new battery a nightmare.
Product states "Read User Manual before use" but there is no user manual.

I wish I'd read the reviews first!

2 out of 5 stars Not as good as it says :-( Disapointed!   November 19, 2008

I was so excited about buying it and couldnt wait to use it, but when i did i was disapointed. Not once has it taken the lid off completely, you have to re-do it half way round.
I also find it very noisy like an electric mixer.
I brought one for my Aunty who has artaritus in her hand, for Xmas but theirs know way i would even give it as a gift now.
Hopefully in future it might improve. X

5 out of 5 stars Superb essential kitchen item   November 13, 2008

Gone are days of twisting those rusted wheels of can opener, Just put it on top of can, press the botton, and it does the rest. clean cut and magnetic parts help avoid cut fingers

4 out of 5 stars One [ish] Touch   November 4, 2008

On smaller or larger than average cans you have to press it to stop, other than that I've had no problems and I've had mine since Christmas 2007. The only thing that annoys me is that it takes the top off from underneath the rim therefore causing structural integrity issues especially if the can is full of liquid and needs to be drained [i.e. tuna]. I haven't had a problem with reliability as other may of have, may I suggest a change in diet and eat a little more FRESH food.
