5 out of 5 stars Slow Cooker   February 12, 2007

I brought this thinking, my casserole dish is too small, i really need something bigger! This is huge!!! It could feed 10 people when full! I read other reviews where people said that it made the meat really tender, and i thought "yeah yeah, tender meat, whatever" but oh my god! I used this for the first time on Saturday, i set it to cook while we were out for the day. When we got back, at 5pm there was a lovely meal waiting for us and the chicken breasts literally fell apart they were so tender! Everything was cooked to perfection and was so delicious. I would recommend this slow cooker to anyone (except those who are living by themselves - they could do with a smaller version!). This is idea if you can't afford the more expensive cuts of meat (like me) because it cooks even the cheapest meat to tender perfection.

5 out of 5 stars Meals that feed a hungry family....   January 20, 2006

Prepare the vegetables, seal the meat, boil some water, place vegetables, meat and water into the slow cooker, and set for as many hours as needed. Add seasoning if you need to, and you have a meal that will feed the family and as a bonus any left overs can be stored in the slow cooker pot in the fridge and warmed up in another pan or microwaveable dish.

Its just so easy ;-)

10/10

5 out of 5 stars How did I ever manage without it?   December 26, 2005

I always laughed at my friends when they raved about slow cookers and how convenient they were. Then I decided to jump on the bandwagon.
It cooks joints of beef to perfection, keeping the meat succulent and sooo tasty. Well worth every penny. I no longer have to look for the more expensive cuts of meat to ensure it is tender. This cooks any cut of meat to perfection.
The only gripe I have is having to look for longer joints of meat as opposed to short and fat!!
