Product Description This handy Ceramic Sharpener is ideal for sharpening Global and Porsche knives. The two-stage process requires the ceramic wheels to be soaked in water for a few minutes before use, which enables the blade to glide through the wheels with ease.

Pretty Good November 18, 2008 Bought this after reading the other good reviews. I have Porsche type 301 knives which I had let get far too blunt. The instructions on the product say that 20 passes of the blade on each stone should do but with my knives it was more like 200. Now this could be because I had let my knives get too blunt or because my knives don't sharpen as well as Globals. Nevertheless I persevered and they are all razor sharp now. Excellent product.
Got a Global Knife? This is what you want... November 3, 2008 This sharpener is easy to use and really quick to sharpen the blade. The grooves you place the blade in, make it not only effortless but also safe to use it.
It's not just for Global Knives, it made nearly every knife I own razor sharp. The reason it works so well for global knives is because of the angle it shaprpens at. It doesn't wear-away or damage the original angle of the blade.
I thoroughly recommend it!
Cutting edge! September 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this sharpener after looking at the Salter one which was around 45 and also the Kitchen Devil. After reading the reviews I thought that this was the best one to go for. It is very easy to use and sharpens knives quickly and effortlessly. It really does sharpen well. I used it on normal knives, not global ones. I would say that it's better for the longer knives rather than the short paring knives as it can get to the entire length of the blade easier. Excellent product! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a sharp blade. Sharpened the bluntest of the blunt!

I have been dithering for some time about purchasing a knife sharpener, after reading the comments of others on this particular model decided to buy. A good decision, plus a drawer full of sharp knives!
