Too complicated for me! May 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, I don't normally have problems with mechanical gadgets but this thing defeated almost every attempt to get it to behave as a timer. It has a useful clock and lots of buttons which seem to have random functions depending on the time of year, number of sunspots visible, whether or not there's an R in the month, etc.
The display is largely unprotected, the lightest of touches causes the digits to fade and get misformed. It would be very easy to damage this display. Not good for a timer used in a kitchen.
I managed to get it to start as a timer on one occasion, after that it 'remembered' the time used and refused to allow me to clear it or start with a different time. After a week of intermittent messing about I gave up on it and bought one that has been built with a more uncomplicated design that I could live with...
