 brush heads that do not last November 4, 2008

The reason that some people have brush heads that do not last is that they are fakes. I usually buy from Boots but bought once through Amazon. The real ones DO last 3 months or more. The fakes from Amazon lasted about 1 week. I accept that there will be genuine heads available through Amazon but the big question is: How do you tell? They are really difficult to spot even when compared side by side with a genuine one. My dentist thought she saw a slight difference in the sheen of the blue bristle part but otherwise had to agree that even an expert eye would find it difficult - the fakes are that good! The only way to tell for sure is by using one and if it only lasts 1 or 2 weeks ask for your money back.

I've been using rival battery powered electric toothbushes for a couple of years & found they lost power long after I realised the batteries were going flat! I borrowed my girlfriends's Braun & was amazed at the difference.The knack is to use with a light touch & not scrub like we used to with ordinary brushes & you will get reasonable life from the heads. My only issue is the cost of the brushes but Amazon at least do them at a reasonable price.

I've been using the oral b electric toothbrush for years because I found it hard to reach my back teeth with a normal brush. I find them really good and easy to use however, if anyone out there wears braces like I did for years you will find that the brush will wear down a lot quicker and will splay out. This is to be expected of all brushes tho so dont let this put you off. Overall they are great.

I've been using a Braun Toothbrush for about 7 years now and still on the original one! That's great value to start with. The replacement heads from Amazon are usually the cheapest you can buy, provided you buy a four pack and not the eight which works out much dearer! I find the one head usually lasts around four months, but if you use whitening toothpaste this alters the indicator that the head needs changing - read the instructions carefully.

It is a replacement head for a Oral Electronic Toothbrush. They suppose to last for 3 months, (Brush your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes) The brush has an indicator on the brush, if the blue part of the brushes go down to half way, then the brush needs replacing, but if you let it go all the way down to the bottom, then the brush is not performing to its maximum.The only bad point that I can think of is that they seem to last 5 minutes. But at this price at least its not hitting the pocket too much.
